What is hospice care?

Hospice care provides comfort and care for anyone with a life-limiting illness, with a six month or less prognosis, who is no longer seeking or no longer eligible for curative treatment. When aggressive medical procedures are no longer effective, patients and their loved ones can choose hospice services as an option.
